Much like a tiny, pocket-sized computer, the micro:bit encourages us to learn basic coding and programming skills to prepare us for today's tech-savvy world. The Hive children have been getting very excited about Christmas. Our Writing lesson was writing a letter to Santa. We used the Smyths toy magazine for inspiration and ideas. Fingers crossed we get what we asked for!!

Eoin and Dan have had a lovely few weeks at the Five Sisters Zoo. We saw lots of animals, and even got to feed some. We have learned a lot about the animals and their habitats.

Primary 1 have had a very exciting week. Yesterday Primary 4 pupils took part in their Christmas party. We had games, dancing and lots of delicious snacks. We had a lovely morning all together.

Our 1+2 Languages ambassadors have done a great job of promoting languages this term across the school. They suggested having a Languages 'Advent Calendar' where every day in December classes would learn how to say 'Merry Christmas' in a different language.
